Platform Best For Limitations
BrickRoom ✦ Serious AFOL collectors managing large collections Early stage, built specifically for this: storage locations, loose parts, duplicates, scalable organisation with good UX.
Rebrickable MOCs, alternate builds, loose part analysis Difficult to manage very large collections, with a cluttered UI not suited for handling hundreds of sets and thousands of items.
Brickset Official set catalog and collection tracking Limited loose part and storage management, not the main goal of the platform.
BrickLink Marketplace and detailed inventory data Primarily a marketplace rather than a dedicated collection management platform.
BrickTracker Self-hosted collection tracking and advanced inventory workflows Requires technical knowledge and self-hosting infrastructure.
BrickRestore Restoring incomplete sets and tracking missing pieces Strong restoration workflow but limited as a complete collection management system.

FAQ

Is BrickRoom for casual or serious collectors?
Serious ones. BrickRoom is designed for AFOLs managing large collections: hundreds of sets, thousands of loose parts, multiple storage systems.
Why switch from Rebrickable, Brickset, BrickLink, or a spreadsheet?
Most collectors track things across a spreadsheet, Rebrickable, Brickset, or BrickLink. Sometimes all four. Each one is great at what it does. BrickRoom brings it together in one place, built around your collection: what you own, where it lives, what you're missing, and what you can build right now. If you're managing a large collection and still losing track of what you own, where it is, or what you've already bought. BrickRoom was built specifically for that.
Can I use my own organisation system or labels?
Yes. BrickRoom adapts to however you already organise things. Label your bins, drawers, shelves, or rooms any way you like, then tag parts and sets with those locations. There's no required structure. If you sort by colour, theme, set, or a system only you understand, BrickRoom just follows along.
How long does importing take and what comes in?
Upload a CSV from Rebrickable, BrickLink, or Brickset and you're up and running in under two minutes. Sets, parts, and quantities all come in. Anything that looks off can be fixed after. You're not locked into a perfect import to get started.
How complete is the parts database?
The parts database covers the vast majority of sets and parts including color variants and minifigures. Rare or vintage items occasionally need a manual tweak. You can add or correct anything yourself, and fixes are reflected immediately.
Will you support MOC parts and custom sets?
Yes. You can manually add any part or set not in the database, including MOC builds and custom colour variants.
Is my collection safe and exportable?
You can export your full collection as a CSV any time, no questions asked. BrickRoom never asks for your BrickLink or Brickset login. You import your data once, and it lives in BrickRoom from that point on.

One search.
Your whole collection.
